October Circus | Halloween Limited Edition Perfume

The Scent:
Popcorn and candied apples, falling leaves on the damp autumn air, antique wood and painted fabric banners, a touch of smoke and danger. 

The Story:
You can feel a change in the air when the circus comes to town. Like magic it appears, the colors, the lights, the music, and the smells. It calls to the towns like a siren. No one is immune from the enticement of a traveling circus.

You awake one brisk October morning and can just tell that something feels different, there is something in the air. There is an excitement in town. You hurry into the center of town, a mass of people gathering around a tall man. He is waving his hat and his cane, gesturing to the field outside of town where a huge black and white tent has appeared and inviting all to come and see the greatest spectacle of magic ever assembled! People cheer and clap, children squeal in delight, all hoping that the sun will set quickly on the day so the show can begin.

Finally the sun is just starting it’s golden slide into the horizon as the crowd gathers around the tent at the edge of town. Everyone is here. The man in the top hat appears through the opening tent flaps. He faces the crowd, still and silent for a moment save the slow grin that spreads across his face. After a moment, he nods his head almost imperceptibly, spins on his heel and walks into the tent. The crowd begins to following him, soft murmurings of wonder and shuffling feet the only sounds.
Inside of the tent is a riot of lights and colors. The striped fabric creates an optical illusion making the inside seem so much grander than the outside, or was the tent always this big. There is a ring in the center with a single empty chair and sawdust strewn on the floor. There are lights, there are colors, there is music, and there are smells, but there as no other performers in the tent. There are no seats or stands for the guests either. Confused people begin to fill in the spaces around the ring, standing and looking around at one another with questioning looks.

As the calliope music starts to play the scent of popcorn and candy applies drifts in the cool October air. The music trills and the tent flaps begin to slowly close. There is laughing all around you, colors and sparks, too many colors and noises. Your head starts to spin. To late you start to realize that there is something just a little different about this October Circus.
