Just a Little Break

Hello, I first have to just a say a huge thank you for everyone hanging in with us for the past year or so.  It has been a crazy year for our family and Wylde Ivy has been on the back burner just a little bit.  With that said, I will be out of the office and shipping will be paused for a short time coming up.

This week, I will be away from July 15-17. I’ll be back in the office on Monday the 20th shipping out all the orders that arrived while I was gone.

Then from July 25 - August 10 I will be out of the shop and there will be a pause in order shipping while we move our daughters to college.

Normal shipping will resume August 11.

This fall I am looking forward to finally putting the finishing touches on several new fragrances that have been in the works FOREVER.  The next chapter of A Midnight Dreary will be released later in 2026 and you can expect a new fragrance or two in this year’s Halloween Collection.

So to recap, Wylde Ivy will be closed and not shipping orders (the website can still accept orders):

July 15 - 17

July 25 - August 10

Shipping Issues
In other news, shipping with USPS has been a disaster lately.  I’m am seeing many delayed packages (especially involved with the Lancaster and Harrisburg PA hubs which unfortunately many of our outgoing shipments are routed through).  There have been delays of sometimes a week or more as well as packages that are actually on the move and not getting their tracking scans.  This makes me very sad, as I have never seen this level of problems in the 20 years I have been shipping Wylde Ivy products.

I have a feeling that some of the holdups are due to the new labeling requirements for Hazardous Shipments (which all my alcohol containing orders have to be classified as).  The shipments that only contain oil perfume do not need the special labeling and do seem, at this time, to be moving through the system a little bit better.

I am looking into shipping alternatives, though USPS is still the most cost effective for alcohol containing shipments so I have been trying to hold out with them so we don’t have raise prices.

If your package seems stuck in transit, don’t panic.  I have seen all of the packages finally make it to their delivery, even if slowly.  Often times they are moving through the system but not getting scanned until their reach the destination.  If your shipment has not moved in seven business days, I can start a lost mail trace on it.  Often times that gets it unstuck and on its way, at least it has worked thus far.  If after five business days of the lost mail trace there is no movement, I will get a new shipment started for you.

Thank you for hanging in there with us!
